A fine vintage antique Chinese pair of porcelain dimensional Vases turned into lamps around 1950. Upon noticing the hardware and lamp sockets (1 socket looks like it was replaced) it was thrilling because it shows that the Porcelain is antique. The bases are custom made by a high end decorator in the 1950's and ebonized with custom Patinated covers also vintage perfectly hand formed to create the lighting effect where socket and harp get screwed in. Wonderful antique presentation. The bases show natural wear consistent with age. The Porcelain is in mint all original condition. No breaks no cracks no restorations or chips, mint! Please note the blue profusion of the hand painted underglazed floral and leaves are similar to ming dynasty Chinese Porcelain seen in museums. These lamps will not be taken apart, don't want to disturb original velvet, but they may very well be marked underneath. Acquired from a long island new York gold coast home filled with:
